Mr. Boatwright graduated from University of Mississippi in 1988. He has been in the pharmacy industry for 31 years and has owned his own pharmacy, Boatwright Pharmacy, for 25 years.
Steven has been an APCI member for 11 years. He serves on the Patriot Bank Board of Directors and the Millington Area Chamber of Commerce Board. Steven is also a member of the Tennessee Pharmacist Association and NCPA. He sees the future direction for APCI to be to maintain and continue current mission while always exploring ways to help business and profitability. Steven notes that APCI is the Best in business and has earned his trust over the years that they have pharmacy owners in their best interest.
Mr. Disney is a 1988 graduate of Mercer University and has been a pharmacist for 32 years. He has been the owner of Vaughn Pharmacy in Powell, Tennessee since November 1988. He is married, and his wife is the bookkeeper and they have 3 children. Dwight is very involved in the community where he along with his father started a construction business, building homes for families in the Powell Community. He loves the building industry. Starting from ground up and watching the progress of the job. He serves on the board of The Peoples Bank and is also the building committee chairman for his church.
Mr. Johnson graduated from Auburn University School of Pharmacy in 1969. He has been the owner of Boaz Discount Drugs for 48 years. He has been a member of APCI since its beginning in 1984 and has been honored to serve on the board of directors since 2014. Dale, alongside six additional fulltime staff pharmacists, including his youngest daughter Anna, continue to adapt to the everchanging profession through personal medication management and many additional specialty pharmacy services. He has been married to his wife, Donna, for 50 years, has three children, and eight grandchildren. He is blessed to have his entire family near his farm in Sardis City, Ala., and any time spent away from the drug store is likely spent with them.
Mr. Leon graduated in 1990 from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science. He has been in the pharmacy profession for 29 years and has owned Family Care Rx for 6 years. Christopher also owns 2 other pharmacies. He has been an APCI member for 1 ½ years. Christopher noted that he believes that support and education should be key points in helping independent pharmacies achieve their goal. He also states that APCI must become involved more in a personal level and spearhead a calculated plan of attack against PBMs and large chain stores.
Mr. Sams graduated from University of Texas in 2006. He has been in the pharmacy industry for 23 years with 10 of those in the Independent Pharmacy industry. Shawn has owned his pharmacy, Louis Morgan Drug #4, for 6 years. He has been a member of APCI for less than one year but has been very impressed with APCI, the leadership’s passion for the success of the membership. He notes that his perception of APCI as currently striving to provide its membership with strong and innovative leadership for day to day operations.
